So on Saturday we had our fourth band competition (that we won btw)... OMG. This season has gone by so quickly... It's freaking me out. I don't really know how I'm going to react when we (as seniors) are done! It's scary knowing the one for sure stable thing in my life will be gone in like two weeks. Not that the rest of my life isn't stable, but band is the thing that keeps me going. Sounds strange, but if you were a part of our "family," you'd get it. It changes your life. Usually for the better. I remember starting out freshman year and thinking that I would never be able to reach the senior status. It seemed so distant and I felt so small and young compared to them. Really, there isn't much to being a senior except that you are almost out of time. I hate it. I wish there was another month left of marching season. Yes, I have no life, but at the same time, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It makes me so happy. I love getting to hang out with all of my boys- the drumline I call my kids, but our relationship is really great. I don't know what I'm going to do when I don't get to maintain that relationship anymore...
