Freewrite: October 01, 2010

When we talk about basic human rights, it kind of makes me angry to think about all those in the world who do not have them. When I think about the fact that people in other countries cannot speak freely or be free to do what they wish, I don't understand. I don't know what goes through the heads of their leaders and all those who choose the rights. I think all people should have basic human rights, like the right to speak freely and be who you want and not be afraid of being killed everywhere you go. I don't think it's right that we get to live with all of our freedoms and there are some people out there who do not have any freedoms. It just doesn't make any sense because it's so unfair to those out there without any rights at all. No matter who you are, it's not fair to be judged or have things taken from you because you are a certain type of person or grow up in a certain background or are a certain ethnicity. It just doesn't make sense to me.
